Summery of location and disater
For the project1. I choose the cyclone as the theme to develop my work. After finding some information of this disaster, I get the cyclone is an area of closed, circular fluid motion rotating in the same direction as the Earth. The difference bewteen the  tornado hurricane and cyclone is the tornado ofthen occurs in the land, and the other two disaster occurs in the ocean. And cyclone happen in the Pacific ocean, the hurricane come from the Atlantic ocean.
Odisha is my selected location. It is an Indian state on the subcontinent's east coast. The cyclone often happened in there cause it  near the Indian Ocean.
Concept of home
For the concept of my project. I choose the principle of "simple and intuitive use" as the basic idea to develop the model. After I research some culture and climate of India. I findsome of the peasant live in the adobe house or the brick house. And some of the peasant prefer to build their village at the foot of the mountain. There is no wall around some of their house. The privacy and security is quite bad .India is hot of all the land .
In concllusion, the house might be more convenient and simply for the peasant after the disaster at first. Secondly, the home must be well ventilated when I consider about the climate of this location. Finally. the privacy and seurity are quite important for each home after I do some reading.
Overall design proposal
For the whole design proposal, I divided into two main parts which  connect to the Indian custom.
1.Adobe house. Adobe structures are extremely durable. Compared to wooden buildings offer siginificant advantages due to their greater thermal mass, in hot climates, but they are known to be particularly susceptible to earthquake damage. In order to   prevent the earthquake, some of the house have lenthening beam which build in the bearing wall.
2.Climate.India is a hot country. Most of there buildings need get more windows  to be well ventilated.
From the section, there are some beams in the bearing wall.
In order to be well ventilated. The whole house get one window and two siding doors in horizontal direction. And get two siding windows in vertical direction.
For the material, I build the adobe wall around the house. And remain the shipping container's floor.

Week2

Research of the clients
The clients are all be hit by the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Phailin. The house will build at the Odisha. One of the Indian state on the subcontinet's east coast. All of the victims need  the sense of safety and a convenient  home. Before the natural disaster, some of the peasant live in the adobe house or the brick house. Some of the peasant prefer to build their villageat the foot of the mountain. There is no wall around some of their house.  So the privacy and security is quite bad. For the climate contorl, some of the house have a backdoor, the aim is to be well ventilated. India is hot of all the land. Most part is belong to the Tropical monsoon climate. It can divide into two seasons: cool dry season and hot rainy season.
Principles of Universal Design
Simple and intuitive use: use of the design is easy to understand , regardless of the user's experience, knowledge, language skills or current concentration level.
